Frequently asked questions about booking, required documents, payments, and pickup.

What should I do in case of an accident?

Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Call 911 if there are injuries or immediate medical risk.
  2. Contact Forensys Curacao immediately at 0800-1199, 9233, or WhatsApp +599 9461 3282 for incident documentation.
  3. Do not move the vehicle unless Forensys instructs you to do so.
  4. Do not leave the scene until Forensys completes the report. Without a Forensys report, insurance coverage is void.

What should I do if there is damage to the rental vehicle?

Do not move the car from where the damage happened (for example: post/stone impact, windshield damage, parking damage, or road accident). Call Forensys Curacao immediately at 0800-1199 or 9233 so they can document the case with photos and your statement. Move the vehicle only when Forensys staff or police confirms it is safe.

What should I do in case of theft?

Act immediately: contact us at +5999 673-3248, then report the theft to police by calling 911. You can also contact Punda police at +599 9461-1000 or Otrobanda police at +599 9462-7844. If these steps are not taken promptly, you may be held fully responsible due to negligence.

What is the minimum age to rent?

Minimum age is 19+ for regular vehicles and 25+ for vans. You must have held a category B driver license for at least 1 year. Deductible: $500 for vehicles and $750 for vans (buy-off option available in standard cases). Drivers under 23, or with a B license under 2 years, have a higher $600 deductible that cannot be waived.

What are the insurance coverage and deposit options?

All-risk coverage applies. Standard deductible is $500 for vehicles and $750 for vans. You can buy off the deductible for $15/day (vehicles) or $25/day (vans). For rentals under 4 days, buy-off is a flat $85. Exceptions apply for speeding, driving under the influence, or leaving an accident scene. Deposit is $250 for vehicles and $375 for vans.

How many kilometers can I drive daily?

Kilometers are unlimited when you rent from Great Deals Car Rental.

Do you accept cash or credit cards?

Yes. We accept cash, Maestro, Kompa Leon, Visa/Mastercard, Discover/Diners, Amex, and major credit cards. A 5% administration fee applies to credit card payments.

Can we pay in Euros?

No, Euros are not accepted. Cash payments can be made in Caribbean guilders or US dollars. You can also pay using our bank mobile pin machine.

What is your fuel policy?

Fuel policy is full-to-full. Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned full. If not delivered full, return with the same level received. If fuel is below the required level at return, minimum charge is $25 for vehicles and $35 for vans per 1/4 tank (or part of it).

Who is allowed to drive the rental car?

Only the primary renter and an additional driver who co-signs the agreement and has a valid driver license are allowed to drive.

Where do I leave the vehicle if my flight departs before opening hours?

Inform the rental agent at pickup if your return flight is before opening hours. The agent will provide detailed return instructions.

Do you offer long-term rentals?

Yes. Contact us by email or WhatsApp to discuss long-term availability and pricing.

Do you deliver the car to a specific location?

Yes, we offer rental car delivery to your preferred location.

Can I receive the rental car at the airport?

Yes. Depending on your flight times, we can arrange the car for you near the airport. You will receive detailed instructions before your arrival day.

How far in advance should I reserve my rental car?

Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance. For last-minute bookings within 24 hours, contact us directly by WhatsApp or phone. Earlier reservations provide more options and better availability.
